Fresh Loch Nevis Seafood Platters for 2 Fresh local Loch Nevis creel caught langoustines and other local shellfish and seafood in a sharing platter for a minimum of two guests can be pre-ordered in advance of arrival and delivered to Knoydart House for a seafood experience in-house. The Old Forge Public House – Community owned pub and remoteset pub in mainland Britain – Guinness book of records! The Old Forge changed ownership after 15 months of hard work and dedication from community fundraising to become our very own community owned pub. The pub changed hands on 28th March 2022 and is set to open in time for Easter weekend for drinks only to enable our guests to enjoy a drink in the local pub while the kitchen will undergo a renovation. It is hoped the kitchen will be ready later in the season where they will be serving lunches and evening meals.
The Knoydart Tearoom and Pottery During the day, the Tearoom serves homemade soups, sandwiches and cakes, plus drinks, including officially the best hot chocolate! The tearoom is open Mon-Fri (5 days a week in summer and 3 days a week in winter and also opens for fresh fish and chips takeaway on a Friday night in winter . In addition to the delicious food, freshly made daily, the Pottery sells (as the name suggests!) gorgeous pottery and hand made jewellery. Local sisters, Isla and Rhona Miller, serve everything with an infectious smile and a winning sense of humour, that in itself will have you visiting again and again! Doune Dining – Award Winning Dining Room (April – November) Doune Dining Room offers something a little bit different and very special, a fixed meal including coffee. They are open for evening meals from 1st April 2022. A carefully chosen menu all homemade with homemade breads and homegrown salads and herbs. A magical waterfront location but well worth the effort to visit.
