The Old Forge pub is open all year round in winter from 4pm daily, apart from Christmas Day. In winter it operates a select menu evening meals being taken from 6 until 8pm Fridays and Saturdays only however any other evening bypre booking request in winter. In summer months from April to October the pub comes into its own as a it is of a bit of seafoodie destination, having won many awards, such as best independent pub in Scotland and commended by the Seafood Awards in London langoustines, mussles, hand dived scallops, estate venison, whatever has made it down from the hill or loch in season. In winter October onwards seafood and shellfish are not always available in the pub but can quite easily be prepared for you by prior arrangement. Knoydart Tearoom and Pottery is open in winter. Again more select hours and the owners will advise on arrival. Hand thrown pottery is made locally and together with homemade jewellery and some great homebakes the tearoom is a great place for tiffin.
Spoil Yourself... real food catering option available to guests at Knoydart House. A new venture being run by local chef Britta, called "Knoydart Kitchen". She offers a range of locally grown, locally caught, home cooked fresh food,including hill venison, hand dived shellfish and seafood platters cooked for you which can be pre-ordered and brought to the house or cooked onsite for you dinner party style.
